Igneous cat formations are formed either in comfy nests made of old shirts in cardboard boxes or above ground near wading pools. Cast off cat fur, called fragma, becomes compressed and reaches very high temperatures. As this fragma cools slowly, igneous cats coalesce and become nuisances.

Igneous cats are also formed when large litters erupt, causing kittens to scatter everyhere. When this happens above the earth's surface, these kittens are called larvae.

Once these larvae reach a certain stage, igneous cats start aggregating and causing general disorder.
